Mummified apples: the results!

Today was the grand unveiling of our mummified apples! They had been left for over a week and we were on tenterhooks waiting to see if our hypotheses were correct! 

It turned out that the table salt preserved and mummified the apple the best as it showed very little signs of rotting. Surprisingly, the cup with the bicarbonate of soda and table salt in was the least effective. Some of us correctly predicted the outcome from the start and were very pleased!
